Merry Christmas...In September!

The other day I was driving in the car with my son, and he said to me, "Mom, when is going to snow again?" I said to him," In a couple months, Buddy."
He then said, "Christmas is NEVER going to be here!" :-)
Really, Christmas is just around the corner! I decided to make my first Christmas card of the season by using the Dynamic Duo Challenge this week.
I was excited to use the new Holiday Framelits from the Holiday Catalog. They are so easy to use and very easy to get the stamped image lined up just the way you want before you cut out the image. I decided I wanted to make a Christmas Tree farm with this card. I masked the trees in the background. To make the mask I had to cut out the tree with paper snips because the Framelit was a little too big to make this technique look right. When masking I also "stamped off" the image, to give the appearance of depth. I added some rhinestones that I colored with a red Sharpie Marker. I also used the Striped Impressions folder to add some texture to the Lucky Limeade background.
This has given me the bug to create some more Christmas cards but I haven't made a Halloween card yet!! I guess that may be coming soon!! :)
Thanks!!
Aimee
